Since its beginning, the Church of God has been a moving church with a mission of ministry to the world. In this new millennium, God is leading the Church of God as a global movement prepared to meet the demands and of ministry in the 21st century.
The Church of God consists of people just like you. Every person who attends a Church of God function, event or local congregation is recognized as a valuable member of the church body.
For over 125 years the Church of God has been a distinctive movement focused upon communicating the gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit. Presently, the Church of God has a world-wide membership of over 7 million with a presence in nearly 180 countries.
Leadership: The Church of God International Council of Eighteen is a body of 18 ministers elected from within the ranks of Ordained Bishops of the Church of God during the bi-ennial General Assembly. The Council of Eighteen serves with the International Executive Committee to form the International Executive Council, a body which establishes polity and directs the ministries of the Church. The IEC also includes the moderator of the Full Gospel Church of God in South Africa and the national overseer of Indonesia. Members of the Council of Eighteen are elected for two year terms and may be elected to two consecutive terms.
